Placing Orders

Orders may be placed by calling HorizonUSA toll free at (800) 325-1199. Local customers should call (775) 858-2300. Orders may also be faxed to (775) 858-2323. Our business hours are 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Acceptance and delivery of all purchase orders is expressly conditioned upon the satisfaction of all past due accounts with HorizonUSA and subject to management approval.

Minimum Order

Our minimum order amount is $50.00. Orders will be accepted for less than $50.00, with a $4.00 handling fee. On orders less than $50.00, actual freight will be billed based on the level of service that you select.

Shipping

It is our policy to ship standard orders that are placed by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time the same day. Freight is FOB our dock unless otherwise agreed upon. All orders are subject to order handling and applicable insurance charges. All orders are billed a $2.75 per order handling fee and a 35¢ per $100 value insurance fee.

Damages and Shortages

If you receive a product that has obviously been damaged in transit, please refuse the delivery. If you notice the damage after the carrier has left the premises, please contact the carrier and HorizonUSA’s Customer Service Department at (800) 325-1199. Any claims for shortages must be made within 5 working days of the invoice date to our Customer Service Department.

Pricing

Although HorizonUSA attempts to hold prices for the duration of this catalog, prices are subject to change without notice. Every effort is made for this catalog to be completely accurate, however an occasional printing error may occur. We reserve the right to bill at corrected prices. We recommend that you contact a HorizonUSA account representative for the most current pricing.

Warranty

All bulk magnetic media distributed by HorizonUSA is backed by a Lifetime Replacement Warranty. However, this warranty is applied to the particular use of the product. For instance ANSI media is guaranteed only for PC formatability, and higher grades are warrantied as represented by HorizonUSA. In no event shall HorizonUSA be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential damages of any kind.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are as granted by HorizonUSA. Past due balances are subject to 1.5% per month interest. Acceptance and delivery of all purchase orders is expressly conditioned upon the satisfaction of all past due accounts with HorizonUSA and subject to management’s approval. It is agreed that the customer shall be responsible for all collection costs, including attorney fees, should it become necessary for HorizonUSA to commence legal action to collect monies owed by the customer.

Cancellation Policy

Because of HorizonUSA’s same-day service, most orders are prepared for same-day shipment within minutes of receiving the order. Therefore, an order may not be cancelled. Please refuse the order or if the order is received, please call HorizonUSA’s Customer Service Department and request a return authorization. A 15% restocking fee will be assessed and all freight charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Returns and Credit Policy

• No returns will be accepted without an RMA number. We will not issue an RMA number on orders over 90 days from the invoice date. All credit claims (short ships, etc.) must be made no later than 5 working days from the invoice date. An RMA number is good for 30 days.

• The cost to return the product will normally be the return freight charge. If the return is a result of our error,we will issue a Call Tag. Any orders sent back without prior approval will be sent back at the dealer’s expense.

• We grant credit for returns only if the product and the packaging (including instructions, labels, etc.) are in resalable condition.

• We cannot give credit on any product when either the product or the manufacturer’s boxes have been written on or otherwise marked in any way.

• All product must be shipped in protective outer boxing, with the RMA number clearly printed on the outside of the shipping box. Any product returned without the RMA number on the outside of the shipping box will be returned to sender.

• Only those items listed and determined to be in resalable condition will be credited.Merchandise not originally purchased from HorizonUSA will not receive credit.

• A 15% restocking fee will be applied if a product is returned due to customer error. All product that is returned as defective will be inspected. If the product is not found to be defective, a 15% restocking fee will be applied.

• All obsolete and close-out merchandise items are not returnable for any reason.

• All hardware returns must be received within 30 days of the invoice date. Returns after that date will not be accepted.

Miscellaneous – Special Orders, Manufacturer Warranties

• Special Orders: Special orders that have not shipped may only be cancelled subject to approval.There are no returns of special order items other than those that are defective.

• Bottled copier and toner supplies: All products are checked and are in salable condition before shipping and therefore are not returnable. All sales are final.

• Cartridge based copier toner: Please provide Customer Service with a written letter from the manufacturer or authorized service technician describing the defect(s). A copy of the letter must be included with the product being returned.
